Coffee Maple Sour

Coffee Maple Sour

3 min

A bourbon whiskey sour with espresso depth — a fall riff on the classic. Atomic Black adds roast without overpowering the lime and bourbon, and maple syrup stands in for simple syrup with autumn warmth. The result is brighter than most coffee cocktails and richer than a standard whiskey sour.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Atomic Black
  • 1.5 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 0.75 oz maple syrup
  • 1-2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • dried lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add bourbon, Atomic Black, lime juice, maple syrup, and 1–2 dashes Angostura bitters to a shaker.
  2. Fill with ice and shake hard for about 10 seconds.
  3. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  4. Garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel.
